To be responsible for the realization and assignment of complex or high-difficulty tasks, which involve independent judgment or criteria in relation to drawing or modeling tasks, to determine a course of action for projects, consistent with the policies and functional goals established by the organization. This may include the leadership function of the drawing and modeling team, as well as some administrative responsibilities related to the project and the department.
To generally have more than 12 years of experience in relevant disciplines and more than 3 years in project leadership in the drawing and modeling area. To have a solid training in disciplinary work and competent understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices, and to be able to manage discipline configuration processes, the institution of work procedures, the follow-up of a team, the production of deliverables, and the closure of projects.
To be able to support the labor of estimating the generation of project offers and the drafting of technical proposal contents in drawing and modeling scopes. To have experience in the performance of drawing and modeling tasks in conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering of industry projects (Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, among others). To make responsible decisions for the course of deliverables of drawing and modeling, to exercise independent judgment in the planning, organization, and realization of assignments, to make general recommendations on the use of new drawing and modeling techniques, normally within an area of specialization, and to analyze design elements in search of potential trends, technical feasibility, customer or contractual requirements. Difficult, complex, or unusual decisions are generally referred to more experienced discipline members such as engineers, on whom rests all the responsibility of the design, including the discipline manager.
To work autonomously allowing the planning and organization of tasks in assigned projects, may receive self-initiated technical guidance from your supervisor, with a weekly or monthly review, under the context that your work is not reviewed in detail considering your experience. Influence on duties and receive administrative direction based on the policies and objectives of the organization.
To work in a team with groups of up to 6 direct subordinates who consist of less experienced designers within the same discipline.
To maintain constant and effective communication with the work team, and to have an experienced ability to inform and persuade on complex issues and problems through the preparation and delivery of presentations and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and discipline management.
To be competent in the use of tools such as Microsoft 365 and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams). To be able to navigate intranet pages, perform searches, and retrieve information. To organize information from multiple sources and retain it according to the established format and policies.
To work competently and efficiently in specialized design tools, analysis, and modeling, and interdisciplinary data-centric methods.
To build appropriate, constructive, and effective relationships throughout the organization; use diplomacy and tact, be accessible, communicate clearly, precisely, and coherently both verbally and in writing. Employ the principles of active listening and encourage feedback from and to others.
To work in a team with visibility to high-level stakeholders, be able to work and link with multiple teams and stakeholders, be able to prioritize workloads and help other team members achieve their goals.
Technical, Technologist, or Professional in Architectural and Engineering Design or related careers.
Experience: 10 or + years in similar positions as a pipeline draftsman or designer.
