Buyer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our Memphis team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring electronics components to support both production and prototype builds. You will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery, optimal pricing, inventory management, and record keeping while supporting the overall supply chain strategy.

*Must be able to work onsite and in person.

*Relocation and sponsorship are not available for this role.

What You Will Do

• Execute and maintain the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) to ensure material availability for production.
• Monitor and manage the materials pipeline to meet production schedules and resolve supply issues.
• Issue purchase orders in alignment with negotiated pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data and planning parameters to minimize material liability.
• Support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) through effective materials sizing and planning.
• Partner with internal teams including Buyers, Commodity Managers, and Accounts Payable to support procurement and resolve discrepancies.
• Track and report supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and service.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and freight expense reduction strategies.
• Work with cross-functional and global teams.

How Will You Get Here?

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent mix of education and experience

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in a procurement, supply chain, or materials planning role
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and production planning processes a plus
• Experience troubleshooting purchasing issues and driving results and deadlines

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP
• Must be proactive and take initiative
• Ability to perform calculations involving percentages, ratios, and basic algebra/geometry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
