Lead Operations Materials Manager

Job Summary
Lead and administrate Operations Materials organization including Purchasing, Planning, Inventory Control, SAP SME team and MRO functions within a Jabil Operation. Support the Operation's business development effort with current and potential customers. Support the development and implementation of Supply Chain strategies and systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of inventory control including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and investigations as needed
- Coordinate with production managers to plan weekly/monthly production schedules based on available materials and forecasted demand
- Supervise warehouse personnel to ensure safe material handling practices are followed and all regulatory requirements are met
- Communicate effectively with cross functional teams such as production, quality assurance, purchasing, logistics, etc., to resolve any material-related issues promptly
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse procedures and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
- Monitor WIP levels and adjust production schedules accordingly to minimize downtime due to shortages or other disruptions
- Investigate any product quality issues related to materials or packaging in collaboration with quality assurance teams
- Collaborate with maintenance department to address equipment failures or other facility-related issues that may impact material availability or production efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, production runs, and other relevant data using appropriate software systems
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations related to inventory management, material handling, and safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, or equivalent experience required
- Proven track record of successfully managing inventory controls, material handling practices, and production scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency required
