• Participate and lead in development efforts in thermal solutions, engage and closely collaborate with suppliers to deliver high quality products
• Identify technology risks, contribute to overall system architecture and optimize Total Cost of Ownership, work with cross functional teams
• Take responsibility for thermal design, including requirements gathering, concepts generation and detailed design, analysis and verification testing, cross-functional reviews
• Design and specification of thermal designs including heat sinks, heat exchangers, fans, thermal controls and all supporting equipment during the product development cycle
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering and with +5 years experience in product design (Server, PC and/or Consumer Electronics a plus)
• Experience in full product cycle from design through qualification, developing specification, and managing suppliers to deliver high quality solutions
• Ability of using 3D CAD and FloTherm thermal simulation tools
• Familiar with thermal and acoustic test, and capable of completing the verification independently
• Thermal measurements experience including the use of thermocouples, thermal test vehicles, flow bench, velocity probes, heat balance assessments.
• Component level and system level analyses, experimentation, and design principles, thermal control experience
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Fluent in English language (verbal and written)
