As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating automated equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will support both preventive and corrective maintenance activities, contribute to process improvements, and ensure compliance with health & safety and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and adjust automation equipment in accordance with production requirements.
  • Maintain equipment in excellent condition to ensure consistent output, yield, and product quality.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including documentation and record-keeping.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using systematic root cause analysis.
  • Support the commissioning and validation of new equipment and projects.
  • Monitor machine rejects and ensure proper sorting and reprocessing.
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Train junior technicians and operators as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, health & safety, and operational standards.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, and IOPQ activities for automated assembly lines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Travel occasionally to support equipment buy-offs and training.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Qualification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical/Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar.
  • Alternatively, qualified trades personnel with relevant industrial experience will be considered.
  • Languages: fluent Croatian and very good English.
  • Experience in high-volume automation or robotics is required.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, servo drives, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and workshop machining.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Process Capability, MSA, and GR&R.
  • Adherence to change management and cGMP requirements.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of safety awareness and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Windows-based systems.
