Facilities Maintenance Technician

Summary
Under limited supervision, responsible for repair, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Be a creative and proactive contributor, focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical work including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of single-phase and three-phase systems up to 480V.
- Install, test, and maintain control wiring for equipment, relays, motors, and automated systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and electrical blueprints.
- Calculate load requirements and develop plans, material lists for electrical projects.
- Install and maintain electrical panels, branch circuits, lighting systems, and conduit runs (IMC EMT Ridged PBC).
- Use electrical test equipment to identify faults, verify voltage, continuity, and safety compliance.
- Perform light plumbing, painting, and carpentry work as needed.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections; maintain detailed records.
- Support the installation and relocation of facility equipment, including HVAC, air compressors, vacuum systems, and DI water systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 – 6 years of experience in facilities or industrial electrical maintenance.
- Proficiency in:
- Single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- Control wiring: relays, sensors, switches, and low-voltage circuits
- EMT conduit bending, wire pulling, and termination techniques
- Use of multimeters, voltage testers, and circuit tracers
- Strong working knowledge of electrical tools, materials, codes, and best practices.
- Ability to work safely on live circuits up to 480 volts
- Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Licensing
- Journeyman Electrician Certificate – Pinellas, Hillsborough County
- State of Florida Registered or Certified Electrical Contractor License is a plus.
OSHA 10/30 and/or NFPA 70E training preferred.
