Memphis Site Plcm - Npi Manager

The Memphis Site PLCM - NPI Manager oversees project management teams in the application of Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) processes for new product introductions (NPI) and product transfers. This position aligns projects with business objectives, manages project review gates, and engages directly with internal and external customers throughout the product lifecycle, from business opportunity to end-of-life.

This position requires proficiency in project management principles, including planning, monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, to execute and deliver projects according to customer and Jabil specifications and timelines.

Lead Project Management Organization: Direct administration and management to members for NPI team. Administrate the campus product transfers and engineering projects, ensuring PLCM – NPI tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.

Project Planning & Execution: Accountable of project cadence, budgets and technology roadmaps. Assign projects to the PMS, maintain project roadmap and workload, and proactively adjust resources as needed.

Customer Engagement: Accountable for overseeing key account activities, addressing scope modifications, and delivering prompt project updates and communications as necessary.

Governance & Gate Reviews: Accountable to assure the overall organization and proper execution of Phase Gate Review meetings, JOS -PMIC NPI meetings and baseline audits at site level. Ensure compliance with PLCM-NPI governance and readiness for mass production.

Risk & Issue Management: Identify critical paths, prioritize risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Manage change requests and document lessons learned at site level.

Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management on overall project portfolio assuring project status, constraints, and critical issues are addressed.

Team Development: Accountable to enable growth and development of project teams acting as SME at site level through knowledge sharing, training, coaching, and mentoring.

Compliance & Quality: Support all the assurance at site level for Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality programs. Ensure adherence to the Quality Policy and participate in relevant training.

Ad Hoc Campus: May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

PLCM & NPI Processes: Deep understanding of PLCM procedures, NPI, and product transfer processes, including baseline/KPIs and project execution facilitation.

Project Management: Proficiency in project management principles, tools (Mendix, Celoxis, MS Project, Smartsheet), and techniques (WBS, Gantt charts, risk management, stakeholder engagement).

Manufacturing & Technical Expertise: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering and quality tools (FMEA, DFx, control plan), and financial baselines including P&L impact analysis.

Advanced Problem Solving & Conflict Management: Proficient demonstrates capability in addressing complex issues and supporting constructive team interactions.

Functional Skills: Monitoring, risk management, planning, scheduling, scope management, issue escalation, reporting, stakeholder analysis.

Soft Skills: Accountability, adaptability, critical thinking, collaboration, decision making, empathy, learning agility, problem solving, relationship building, verbal and written communication.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field.

+7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3–4 years in a team leader role.

PMI formal training and certification preferred.

Matrix organizations experience.

Preferred – Knowledge about Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

Additional Requirements:

Strong English communication skills.

Proficiency in use of personal computers including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Smartsheet's and e-mail skills required.
