How Will You Make An Impact?

As a Master Planner, you will serve as the primary customer interface for demand planning and shipment coordination. You'll be responsible for developing and executing a feasible operational plan that aligns with customer expectations, supports revenue targets, and minimizes liability. Your role will be critical in driving planning metrics, ensuring production readiness, and fostering continuous improvement across supply chain operations.

What Will You Do?

  • Collaborate with Business Units (BU) and customers to develop a demand plan through the Demand Management Process.
  • Create a Master Schedule based on resource analysis, including material and capacity sizing.
  • Load the Master Schedule into Jabil's ERP system.
  • Develop and maintain a feasible production plan and work closely with operations to ensure successful execution.
  • Generate revenue forecasts and monitor actual performance, initiating corrective actions and recovery plans as needed.
  • Monitor planning metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all procedures within the company security policy and the rules of the road.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Planning Supervisor, Planning Manager.
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

How Will You Get Here?

Education: Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience, or Master's degree without experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • 1–2 years of materials-related experience.
  • Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Jabil's software packages.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to groups.
  • Ability to apply common sense and solve problems involving multiple variables.
  • Strong math skills including percentages, proportions, geometry, and algebra.
  • Proficiency in logistics planning aligned with business goals.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
