Your impact

At Jacobs, we are looking for a skilled specialist designer with expertise in Revit BIM modeling, AutoCAD, and advanced plant design tools. The ideal candidate will be capable of designing entire electronic or life science facilities, including cable tray layouts, cable and panel estimation, instrument location plan and bill of quantities preparation. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a large team of designers and support the department manager in hiring strategies and work-share environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage Revit BIM models and AutoCAD drawings for complex facilities.
• Design cable tray layouts, estimate cables and panels based on design reports.
• Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) using Smart CAD and Revit.
• Proficiently use P3D and SP3D for plant design across different engineering phases.
• Ensure compliance with LOD 400 standards for detailed design deliverables.
• Lead and manage a team of 50+ designers, ensuring productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with the department manager on hiring strategies and team development.
• Work effectively in work-share environments across global teams.
• Deliver highly efficient plant designs for conceptual, detailed, and construction phases.
• Maintain fluency in English (spoken and written) for global communication.

Here's what you'll need

• Expertise in: Revit BIM modeling, AutoCAD, P3D and SP3D
• 15+ years of experience in instrumentation & control design
• Strong knowledge of electronic and life science facility design.
• Ability to estimate cables, panels, and BOQ accurately.
• Proven experience in LOD 400 design standards.
• Leadership experience managing large design teams (50+ members).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience in work-share environments and global collaboration.
