Your Impact

CH2M Hill, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader / Design Manager to work in New York, NY and various unanticipated worksites in the U.S.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting design teams in the design, analysis, and delivery of projects ranging from local waterfront projects to international multi-billion dollar port developments
• Preparing and reviewing structural calculations and designs, specifications, design criteria, and engineering reports
• Preparing technical approaches and level of efforts for proposals, as well as serving as a conduit for resource and knowledge sharing between our New York City and Dubai offices
• Working with other members of the team to administer, plan, design, review, and perform quality control and construction activities for port projects
• Working with clients to lead small to medium design teams, as well as, assisting in the development of technical approaches and fees for proposals
• Working collaboratively with coastal, geotechnical, mechanical/electrical, and marine structural engineers and other technologists to successfully manage and deliver ports and maritime projects
• Managing the successful delivery contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables
• Performing structural analysis and design of required steel and concrete structures, including preparation of structural calculations and working with designers to convey the structural requirements on drawings and in the BIM model
• Supervising the work of other employees
• Telecommuting is allowed

Here's What You'll Need

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field and 10 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Maritime Engineering.

As an alternative, employer will accept: a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field and 12 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Maritime Engineering.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

• Experience and knowledge:
• Industry codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ASCE, PIANC, UFC, AASHTO, BS-EN, NAVFAC, USACE)
• STAAD/ SAP 2000/ AUTOCAD / REVIT and other structural/ geotechnical engineering tools for design of ports and maritime projects
• Structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures
• Project management, budgeting, and contract negotiation for large-scale infrastructure projects
• Preparation of construction drawings and specifications and leading design tasks
• Planning, investigations, modelling, design, and construction of coastal engineering projects

Posted Salary Range

Minimum $151,500.00

Upper $236,625.00

The base salary range for this position is $151,500.00 to $236,625.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
