Position: Infrastructure Design Lead

Location: On-site, Mumbai

Experience Required: Minimum 20 years

Education: Master's Degree in Civil/ Structural/ Environmental Engineering or related discipline.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Design Lead to oversee and coordinate infrastructure design activities for a prestigious large-scale real estate development program in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in engineering design management, infrastructure planning, and coordination of multi-disciplinary teams. The candidate should absorb and champion the vision for the project, acting as the custodian of this vision while coordinating with planners, designers, and other consultants. This role demands strategic thinking, technical proficiency, and exceptional leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the design and implementation of comprehensive infrastructure strategies, including civil engineering, transportation systems, utilities, stormwater management, and sustainability initiatives.

Manage multidisciplinary design teams comprising internal staff, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination and delivery of project objectives.

Review and ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of infrastructure designs with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and environmental specialists to integrate infrastructure planning seamlessly into overall site master plans.

Drive and manage technical discussions, providing guidance and resolution to complex engineering and design challenges.

Ensure project designs reflect sustainable, resilient, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Oversee and direct preparation of technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and feasibility studies.

Good understanding on various regulatory agencies, local authorities, and stakeholders and their requirements for necessary permits and approvals.

Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.

Qualifications and Skills:

Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.

Minimum 20 years of professional experience with significant experience in infrastructure design leadership roles, particularly in large-scale real estate or urban development projects.

Proven track record in coordinating and managing large, multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure systems design, including roads, water supply, drainage, sewerage, and utility networks.

Strong proficiency in technical engineering software and project management tools.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Thorough knowledge of relevant Indian codes, international standards, and best practices.

Location and Work Arrangement:

Position is based fully on-site in Mumbai. Applicants must currently reside in or be willing to relocate immediately to Mumbai.
