Your impact:
Lead piping design execution on complex projects. Collect and organize project resources to meet deliverables quality and schedule requirements. Train lesser experienced design staff. Assemble proposal scopes of work and professional service hours estimates. Deal with client and management communications on projects. Develop equipment and piping layout in PDS that will satisfy all technical requirements for a project from the preliminary design stage through the detail design stage and review the PDS usage for the assigned area as being developed by global teams. Coordinate area design assignments with designers in adjacent design areas. Utilize PDS software as required to develop plant layouts. Produce finished Piping Design deliverables via model extractions. Check the design and deliverables as prepared by other designers for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and project specifications and standards. Assist in maintaining project controls and records. Ensure that Change Management processes are followed for all assignments.
Supervise the work of other Jacobs employees.
A hybrid schedule is allowed, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Here's what you'll need:
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires 15 years of work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation involving Process and Utility Piping Systems Design.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/knowledge in: 1. All safety, maintainability and operability layout requirements. 2. Process and Utility Piping Systems. 3. Experience leading a team 4. Be able to supervise and coordinate the work of one or more designers. 5. Equipment items and piping materials and their function in design of a process/utility facility. 6. Operation and function of all engineering disciplines to ensure proper coordination on a project. 7. CAD software. 8. Revit. 9. SP3D. 10. ASME, boiler and pressure vessel codes.
Posted Salary Range: Minimum $124,051.00 to $138,600.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
