About The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Lead Design Coordinator to join our Water Infrastructure team in Christchurch. This role can also be based in other NZ locations.
This role is to support the NZ Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Section with the delivery of projects through leading our digital delivery. In this role you will collaborate and coordinate with our NZ Water Team as well as our digital delivery GID (Global Integrated Delivery) teams in India and Manila to support the GID drafting delivery on projects. This will include the review of GID delivered work to ensure it meets the NZ and client specific standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of the GID Team, quality checking and providing engineering design and drafting support for projects. This role requires a dynamic individual with Civil 3D experience who can offer technical input within the design team, undertake technical reviews of deliverables, mentorship of junior team members and actively participate in project meetings.

This role requires an 'on the tools' approach with setting up, preparing the digital deliverables.
• Work as a senior/lead civil designer on a range of engineering projects largely within the water industry spanning a variety of disciplines, primarily Civil with coordinating Process, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical and Geotechnical.
• Cross market collaboration across power generation, transportation, urban and industrial infrastructure
• Technical 2D and 3D model and drawing production utilising appropriate tools and software (such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD) within a team of technical staff.
• Supplementary technical knowledge and experience of other disciplines such as mechanical piping, process, structural and ECI is a bonus.
• Digital Coordination and Management, including clash detection and coordination, model management and audits and maintaining digital delivery documentation.
• Assisting project team in the set-up of digital delivery systems at the commencement of new projects on CDEs such as ACC or ProjectWise.
• Undertaking modelling and drafting reviews on projects to ensure a consistently high standard of drafting is being maintained.
• Assisting in the forward planning of digital delivery resource needs and workloads.
• Providing mentoring of engineers / designers / drafters to assist in their professional development.
• Participating in all phases of project delivery, under the direction of Engineers, Project Managers and the Digital Delivery Lead.
• Adhering to quality assurance processes and practices including document control and design verification.
• Working within program and budget controls in order for the company to meet its commercial obligations.
• Collaborates and promotes in resource sharing opportunities, encouraging cross-geography relationships in order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.
