Shape the future of cities and places with Jacobs. Jacobs is seeking a Senior Urban Designer to join our Placemaking ANZ team in Sydney. This is a pivotal role designed to drive growth in the NSW market, secure new opportunities, and deliver innovative urban design solutions for critical infrastructure and public spaces. You'll play a key role in strengthening our local presence and supporting the development of sustainable, liveable cities.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead urban design strategies and placemaking solutions for major projects across ANZ.

• Drive business development, leveraging client relationships to secure new work and generate opportunities for the Connected Cities team, facilitating 'pull-through' work for the broader Jacobs business.

• Prepare proposals, deliver design documentation, and provide innovative solutions.

• Support the Technical Director and Technical Lead in Placemaking to promote our urban design offering through relevant forums and industry engagement.

• Mentor junior team members and share best practices across the business.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients.

Requirements include:

• Strong experience in urban design, ideally within a consulting environment.

• A strategic and innovative mindset combining technical expertise and business development.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, and design tools such as Adobe Suite and BlueBeam.

• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across teams and regions.
