Design Lead, Consumer Experience

This role is an exciting opportunity for a visionary design leader to shape and elevate the consumer experience across a diverse portfolio of digital and physical products. The Design Lead will set the design strategy, drive user-centered innovation, and ensure seamless, intuitive interactions across kiosks, mobile apps, web platforms, and operator-facing tools. This position requires close collaboration with product, engineering, hardware, and marketing teams to translate complex user journeys into elegant solutions. You will mentor and grow a high-performing design team, champion accessibility and research-driven design, and influence product roadmaps and client experiences. Success in this role will directly enhance consumer satisfaction, enterprise client engagement, and the overall impact of the product ecosystem. This position offers the chance to lead in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where design excellence drives tangible business results.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute a cohesive design vision and strategy across consumer and operator products.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX/UI designers and researchers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Build and evolve multi-platform design systems covering kiosk, mobile, web, and operator tools.
  • Oversee concept development, interaction and visual design, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing.
  • Translate complex hardware-software user journeys into intuitive workflows that delight end users.
  • Partner with product leadership on roadmap prioritization, co-branded UX strategies, and white-label solutions.
  • Advocate for design resources, tooling, and investment to support scale and innovation.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of UX/UI and product design leadership experience in consumer technology, retail, hospitality, or IoT.
  • Proven experience scaling and managing design teams effectively.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, interaction design, and visual polish.
  • Expertise designing across mobile, kiosk, and web ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern design system frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of human-centered design, accessibility standards, and research methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and influence executive decision-making.
  • Preferred: experience with IoT or hardware-integrated UX, payments, rewards programs, and global enterprise clients.
