Head of Growth (Remote from New Zealand)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Head of Growth in New Zealand. This role offers the opportunity to lead product-led growth for a high-velocity platform connecting creators and audiences. You will own the systems, experiments, and analytics that drive activation, retention, monetisation, and viral growth across the platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, data, and marketing, you will design, optimise, and scale growth mechanisms that directly impact revenue and engagement. You will build and mentor a world-class Growth team while establishing processes, KPIs, and experimentation infrastructure to accelerate decision-making. This is a high-autonomy role in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, where your strategic and analytical expertise will shape the company's trajectory and long-term success.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the product-led growth engine, focusing on creator and fan onboarding, activation, retention, and monetisation
  • Design and optimise referral systems, viral loops, and engagement mechanics to drive sustainable growth
  • Establish high-velocity experimentation infrastructure with clear success metrics and feedback loops
  • Analyse activation funnels, retention curves, ARPU, and other product KPIs to inform strategic decisions
  • Build, mentor, and scale a Growth team across PM, Engineering, and Data, ensuring top talent and high performance
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data to align growth initiatives with broader business objectives
  • Implement growth OKRs, review cycles, and operating rhythms to drive accountability and transparency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading product-led growth initiatives, building end-to-end growth systems rather than optimising individual channels
  • Deep understanding of activation, retention, monetisation, and viral mechanics, ideally in two-sided marketplaces, PLG SaaS, or consumer platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude or Mixpanel
  • Track record of hiring, coaching, and scaling high-performing cross-functional teams
  • Experience running experimentation programs and interpreting complex product and behavioural data
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, think in systems and loops, and create clarity for teams and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a partner-oriented mindset and low ego
