Instructional Designer II

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality online learning experiences for adult learners in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will work closely with faculty, instructional teams, and academic stakeholders to ensure courses meet established quality standards and leverage effective instructional strategies. The position requires balancing creativity with adherence to institutional policies and technical platforms, while mentoring junior designers and contributing to innovative course development practices. You will coordinate production of multimedia elements, conduct quality assurance reviews, and support course approval processes. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, staying current with trends in instructional design, eLearning tools, and educational technologies. It offers an opportunity to influence the learning experience across multiple programs and support scalable, engaging educational outcomes.

  • Collaborate with faculty and instructional teams to develop high-quality online courses and instructional materials
  • Apply established course development standards and policies, ensuring compliance and consistent quality across programs
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of courses and related instructional content, providing actionable feedback
  • Coordinate multimedia production, including video, graphics, animations, and interactive content
  • Mentor junior instructional designers and contribute to training initiatives, supporting team development
  • Monitor project timelines and tasks to ensure timely course delivery and adherence to development schedules
  • Facilitate course approval processes and manage course review cycles for continuous improvement
  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Experience designing and developing online courses for adult learners
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas) and instructional design software
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team context
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and course evaluation metrics
  • Awareness of current trends and best practices in instructional design and eLearning
