Accountabilities

• Serve as legal point of contact and subject matter expert for StreetEasy and New Construction business lines.
• Provide tactical legal counsel for special projects and other key initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve novel legal matters.
• Analyze legislative changes impacting assigned products.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements for strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate closely with internal partners including product attorneys and compliance teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in tech.
• Juris Doctor (JD) with active state bar admission.
• Experience with licensing, marketing, intellectual property, and commercial agreements.
• Familiarity with real estate regulatory frameworks and New York real estate market preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a goal-oriented approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and strong drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Project-management skills with the ability to drive clarity from ambiguity.
