Senior Cad Designer (Remote)

This role is integral to our project teams, focusing on delivering high-quality 2D drawing packages that adhere to client needs, industry codes, and standards. You will collaborate cross-functionally to support timely project execution while ensuring design accuracy and safety. The flexibility of this remote position allows you to contribute effectively from any location within the United States, bringing your expertise in CAD design to impactful engineering projects.

Accountabilities

• Prepare design deliverables in CAD, including physical layouts, civil grading plans, and structural details.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D to draft and revise designs and related documentation.
• Incorporate information from engineers and vendor drawings into coordinated design deliverables.
• Identify and resolve design issues to support cross-discipline coordination.
• Conduct thorough self-checks to ensure design completeness and constructability.
• Support field activities, gathering data, and updating designs based on real conditions.
• Collaborate closely with engineers from various disciplines to maintain project timelines.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design Technology or equivalent experience.
• Over ten years of detailed CAD design experience in power projects.
• Proficiency in 3D plant layout modeling tools.
• Strong communication skills to interface with engineering teams.
• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley Microstation, and Navisworks.
