Senior Product Development Manager

This role offers the opportunity to lead the end-to-end development and lifecycle management of innovative products in the Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements (VMS) space. You will oversee multiple, complex projects across various dosage forms, from initial concept through commercial launch, while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and consumer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including Brand, Innovation, Technical Services, Quality, and Regulatory—you will provide technical leadership, drive problem-solving, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position combines hands-on expertise with strategic oversight, giving you the autonomy to influence project prioritization and deliver high-impact outcomes. You will also build strong relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of product development programs.

Accountabilities:

• Lead complex product development programs across multiple dosage formats from technical brief through scale-up and commercialization
• Serve as the primary technical owner for assigned projects, ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to co-manufacturers and internal teams, troubleshooting formulation, processing, and scale-up challenges
• Collaborate closely with Quality, Regulatory, Brand, Innovation, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure product compliance, sensory optimization, and supply chain readiness
• Develop, maintain, and approve technical documentation including product briefs, specifications, formulas, and stability protocols
• Identify technical and execution risks and proactively implement solutions to mitigate them
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, cost optimization, performance, and consumer experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred
• 6–9+ years of experience in dietary supplement or food product development with proven successful product launches
• Deep technical expertise in formulation, processing, scale-up, and commercialization, including gummy product development
• Strong knowledge of CFR, GMP requirements, and ingredient functionality in supplements and foods
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver results in fast-paced, agile environments
• Experience creating and managing regulatory and quality documentation
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
