Lead product design for youth mental health at Sonar.
$2,100 - $2,400 | Part-time | Full Pacific Time overlap
Hi, I'm Drew, one of the founders of Sonar. We started Sonar to make mental health support more preventative and accessible for young people. We work with schools and providers to reach youth early, and our core product, Sonny, offers 24/7 chat-based support that combines AI with trained human coaches. This human-in-the-loop approach lets us scale safely while keeping care thoughtful and responsible.
Since launching in 2023, we've supported over 20,000 youth across the U.S. Our work has been recognized by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and CNN, and we're backed by partners like Stanford University, HopeLab, and Nina Capital.
We're a fully remote team that cares deeply about impact, clarity, and doing meaningful work that actually helps students, families, and clinicians.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer. You'll lead end-to-end design across core product surfaces, from student-facing chat experiences to administrator dashboards and internal care workflows. You thrive in ambiguous situations and love translating complex problems into clear, thoughtful product experiences.
In this role, you will:
This is a part-time role, 3 days a week, with 2–4 hours of overlap required with Pacific Time.
You'll report to Tatyana Gruver, Head of Product. Fun fact: Tatyana helps run a Burning Man art car camp!
