Product Manager III - San, Nas

Day-to-day responsibilities will include engaging with application owners and technical leads to develop an understanding of the underlying technology infrastructure, analyzing the data collected, planning and scheduling technology migration activities, configuring tools and utilities, opening service requests for service providers, and executing against the plan to achieve the desired outcome.

This individual contributor role is primarily responsible for defining product strategy and vision, developing product roadmaps from ideation to launch, and making decisions on new products or enhancements to bring to market. This includes developing product enhancements based on validated learnings, serving as a facilitator for product teams and diverse stakeholder groups, and collaborating with operations teams and market stakeholders to support product adoption. This role is also responsible for assisting with internal and external discovery for new and existing products, validating solutions with end users, funneling learnings to product roadmaps, tracking outcomes and key performance indicators, and partnering with product team members to solve user problems.

Essential responsibilities include completing work assignments by applying up-to-date expertise in the subject area to generate creative solutions; ensuring all procedures and policies are followed; leveraging an understanding of data and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating cross-functionally to solve business problems; identifying and monitoring priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying, recommending, and implementing ways to address improvement opportunities; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.

Additionally, the role involves pursuing self-development and effective relationships with others by proactively providing resources, information, advice, and expertise with coworkers and customers; influencing others through technical explanations and examples; providing occasional mentoring to team members; listening and responding to, seeking, and addressing performance feedback; creating plans to capitalize on strengths and develop weaknesses; anticipating and responding to the needs of others; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, information systems management, data analytics, engineering, social science, or related field and minimum three years of experience in product management, project management, IT consulting, product development or support, business/system analysis, or a directly related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement. Advanced degrees may be substituted for a portion of the work experience requirements.

Minimum one year of experience working in product management, including product discovery and developing short-term and long-term product strategies, and minimum one year of experience working with agile teams, including familiarity with scrum ceremonies and agile best practices.

Preferred qualifications include two years of experience in strategic planning and building product roadmaps, two years of data analytics experience, strong infrastructure technology background – compute and storage experience preferred, working knowledge of storage area networks and network attached storage, solid business and data analysis experience – comfortable handling large volumes of data and drawing meaningful conclusions, experience in engaging and working with service providers and partners, and data migration experience preferred.
