North America Regional Marketing Manager

The North America Regional Marketing Manager is a strategic B2B marketing leader responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy for Kemin's Pet Food & Rendering portfolio in the region. This role leads and develops a team of Product Marketing Managers, ensuring strong alignment between global strategy, regional market needs, commercial priorities, innovation direction, and customer value creation. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with deep market understanding, technical curiosity, and the ability to translate insights into commercial strategies.

This position is required to be onsite at our WW Headquarters in Des Moines and will report to the North America General Manager for Pet Food & Rendering.

Responsibilities

Regional Marketing Strategy & Business Leadership

  • Own and execute the regional marketing strategy aligned with global direction and regional growth objectives.
  • Champion an outside-in, customer-driven B2B mindset using voice-of-customer insights, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
  • Translate market, customer, regulatory, and trend insights into clear strategic priorities and commercial opportunities.
  • Serve as the regional marketing voice in business planning, portfolio prioritization, and commercial decision-making.
  • Partner closely with Sales, R&D, Technical Service, and Regulatory to drive growth initiatives.

Regional Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own the regional marketing strategy for the innovation pipeline, ensuring concepts align with B2B customer needs, market trends, and growth priorities.
  • Use market insight and opportunity sizing to influence innovation priorities, claims strategy, and target segments.
  • Represent the region in global portfolio governance, stage-gate reviews, and innovation pipeline discussions.
  • Guide Product Marketing Managers in developing strong customer-centric, commercial narratives for pipeline and launched innovations.

Go-to-Market & Value Proposition Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight of segmentation, positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of customer-facing narratives across products and market segments.
  • Oversee regional go-to-market planning, launch readiness, and activation to support commercial success.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers.
  • Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance metrics aligned to regional objectives.
  • Elevate strategic thinking, customer-centricity, and storytelling capabilities across the team.
  • Ensure focus and prioritization across portfolios, balancing near-term execution with long-term strategy.

Regional Leadership Team Engagement

  • Act as an active member of the regional leadership team, contributing to enterprise-level decision-making.
  • Serve as a strong voice of the B2B customer and market in leadership discussions.
  • Engage in healthy debate, align on decisions, and champion agreed priorities across the organization.
  • Bring energy, urgency, and a positive leadership presence to the team.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Animal Science, Nutrition, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or commercial roles within pet nutrition, animal health, or B2B ingredients.
    • MBA preferred
  • Strong understanding of pet food ingredients and rendering industries.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling value stories.
