Experienced Civil Cad Operator Or Designer

Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced civil CAD operator or designer to join our MEP team in St. Pete, FL (Florida). This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards for complex electrical systems for multiple project types such as office, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, & hospitality projects.
  • Develop technical drawings and plans
  • Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks
  • Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes
  • May supervise and train REVIT and CAD drafters
  • Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control
  • Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

  • High School Degree (Preferred Associates Degree (or higher) with emphasis on Drafting and Design Technology from an accredited technical institution or college in engineering
  • 3+ years of electrical experience in multiple project types such as office, hospitality, retail, mixed use, highrise design, multifamily, and some solar design
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Willingness to mentor and teach others
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
  • Understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards
  • Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD.
