Manage the daily operations of the paper machine, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality paper products
Lead and develop a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth
Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork
Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production systems and reduce waste
Ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are followed
Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment
Monitor production quality and implement quality control measures to meet or exceed company standards and customer expectations
Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet company and industry standards
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement enhancements
Identify areas for improvement within the production system
Lead initiatives and projects to enhance productivity and system performance
Manage resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
Maintain accurate records of production data, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered
Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives to management
Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, quality, and supply chain, to streamline operations
Knowledge of paper manufacturing processes, equipment and industry standards
Relevant working experience in a Tissue/Towel manufacturing operation
Ability to provide technical support to optimize manufacturing processes
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to lead, develop and coach a team, manage budgets, and oversee product operations
Experience leading project and/or process management projects
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and address problems efficiently
Experience working in a paper/pulp or converting manufacturing environment
Continuous improvement mindset, with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies
Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop appropriate solutions
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
