Mechanical Designer
The team is looking for a Mid-to-Senior level Mechanical Designer with strong SolidWorks experience to support the design of automated manufacturing systems and automation cells for the automotive industry.
This is not a product design role. The focus is on:
- Automation equipment design
- Assembly drawings
- Powertrain assembly systems
- Manufacturing automation cells
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will provide the concepts, and the Designer will be responsible for creating detailed assembly designs and layouts.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with:
- Automotive automation experience
- Powertrain assembly system design
- GM manufacturing/automation project exposure
- Strong SolidWorks assembly design experience
The position is expected to continue through the end of the year, with potential for longer-term extension based on project pipeline.
