  • Respond to escalations and use escalation trends to inform urgent policy guidance and communication needs.
  • Craft and communicate effective data-driven stories and updates to senior leadership in order to influence decisions and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to identify optimal solutions based on a variety of criteria (cost, level of effort, complexity, timing, etc).
  • Provide updates on the status and overall health of regional and global workstreams to stakeholders and management on a regular basis.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in policy writing, product risk management, policy operations, or digital trust & safety
  • BA/BS degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A clear and thoughtful communicator, both in writing and in person, who can distill complex ideas and engage diverse audiences.
  • Technology industry experience, with emphasis on experience in addressing complex systematic and emerging risks and issues.
  • A background in training or instructional design is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy creating clarity and connection through education.
  • Skilled at building relationships, credibility, and rapport across teams, and comfortable working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, with a curiosity to dig into issues and uncover meaningful solutions.
  • Comfortable navigating business and technical conversations, and able to translate between the two when needed.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate prioritization of product changes.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects while staying detail oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business and technical conditions.
  • Familiar with using metrics and data to inform decision-making, and open to learning more if not already fluent.
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of technical aspects of systems, including configuration, settings, logging, and permissions.

Suggested Skills:

  • Policy writing
  • Policy analysis
  • Operational risk management
  • Online safety
