Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of product strategies for process tools for the processing of optical components (e.g. lenses, prisms, filters) and systems
• Market and competitive analysis in the field of fine optics, photonics and related technologies
• Identification of customer needs and derivation of technical requirements
• Creation of specifications and support of product development in close cooperation with R&D
• Support of the entire product lifecycle – from the idea to the discontinuation
• Support of sales through technical consulting, training and marketing materials
• Conducting product training and trade fair appearances
• Economic responsibility for the product portfolio (e.g. sales, contribution margin, pricing strategy)
• Close cooperation with international customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders

Profile:

• Completed degree in materials science, precision engineering, optics, photonics or equivalent
• Several years of experience in product management or in a technical sales or development role in the optics industry
• Sound technical understanding of optical systems and manufacturing processes
• Experience in dealing with international customers and projects
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Communication skills, team capability and entrepreneurial thinking
• Very good German and English language skills in speech and writing
• Willingness to travel

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
