Job Overview

The Senior, User Experience Design shapes the user experience for Macys.com, the Macy's app, and Macy's retail stores, bringing Macy's strategic vision to life through impactful digital designs. With at least 5 years of experience in digital design, this role demands a strong track record of creating elegant, high-quality designs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. What You Will Do

  4. Design consistently across platforms, including web, mobile apps, and in-store environments, to create a cohesive user experience.
  5. Approach design problems from start to finish: conceptualize new products and features, design storyboards, workflows, interactions, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and establish design standards based on business objectives and user research.
  6. Work closely with the domain UX Director and UX Lead to ensure deliverables adhere to the overall design system.
  7. Mentor user experience designers on the domain team.
  8. Design user experiences that support both business goals and user needs.
  9. Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes and iterate on UI design and interaction flow based on user feedback.
  10. Use metrics, optimization, and research—both qualitative and quantitative—to inform and validate design decisions.
  11. Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
