Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent vision systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.

Job Responsibilities

Develops and designs a product from concept to series production to ensure a robust design solution.

Provides necessary product information from development to series production.

Closely collaborates with the product engineer on the development and implementation of a design concept that meets customer requirements.

Focuses on manufacturability, performance, cost and understands the risks of the proposed solutions.

Conducts comprehensive studies at the vehicle level, addressing physical space constraints, legal functional requirements and production limitations.

Creates 3D models of the product including its validation (Validat/Q-checker, etc.) within the expected time frame and proposes an action plan in case of problems.

Creates manufacturing drawings of components.

Creates and defines 3D files according to internal and customer rules.

Creates assembly drawings and other technical documentation for developed products.

Maintains and revises 3D files within our and the customer's data management system.

Ensures translations of 3D data formats to suppliers, customers or internal departments.

Checks project and production documentation. Collaborates with production engineer and quality control.

Defines plans for dimensional measurements of parts.

Collaborates with the sales department to prepare customer offers.

Collaborates with the purchasing department and prepares the required documentation.

Provides 3D data, drawings and other supporting documents to facilitate VA/VE initiatives.

Supports production in solving technical problems up to SOP+90 in collaboration with the product engineer and project manager.

Creates and maintains a library of standard parts.

Maintains and updates the parts list, assists with DFMEA.
