Job Responsibilities

Main Duties:

  • Define and agree with Lead, Doors and Closures and PM organization (MGL) of the work package assigned
  • Responsible to realize complex engineering activities with independence and full technical responsibility guiding a small team according with the request of the Leader or project responsible.
  • Responsible of assigned work packages deliverable schedule and quality. Follow up all the activities done by the assigned engineers
  • Responsible for knowledge and transfer the company rules and standards to subordinates.
  • Request support from Group leader to put in place disciplinary actions if required.
  • D&C styling feasibility check and master section definition
  • Hardware packaging and technical alignment
  • 3D/2D with parametric design

Qualification:

  • Degree in Automotive engineering, Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, etc.
  • Candidate should have eight or more years of Doors Hardware engineering and development experience.
  • Candidate should have project experience with doors and closures system structure and hardware.
  • Proficient in oral and written English. German is a plus.
  • Proficient in CATIA V5 and Microsoft Office suite. NX is a plus.
  • Good understanding of German OEM process and tools.
  • Good understanding of vehicle design and development processes, work content, and deliverables at each phase of the development lifecycle in an OEM set-up.
  • Broad understanding of vehicle engineering topics (e.g., mechanics, mechatronic, material, strength and stiffness, durability)9. Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, molding and other fabrication methods, welding and other joining me
  • thods, painting, and general assembling)
  • Deep understanding of project management principles and best practices.
  • Advanced soft skills in communication, leadership, conflict resolution, moderation, and presentation.
  • Be able to travel domestically and be on-site at customer.
