Mechanical Designer

Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Support senior mechanical engineers in the design of new motor drive products to meet product specification and cost requirements
• Create designs and implement changes in SolidWorks as directed and create individual part drawings and assembly drawings in accordance with company standards.
• Create bills of materials and engineering change orders using Agile to document production-ready designs
• Conduct performance, design verification and similar tests and author test reports to document results and conclusions

Qualifications:

• An Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience designing electro-mechanical products using SolidWorks or similar tools. Experience in lieu of a formal degree may be acceptable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as an enthusiastic, accountable, and collaborative member of the team
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment, 3D printers and other tools and test equipment used to create, assemble and modify prototypes.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks design tools
• Experience with motor drives or motion control systems is a plus
