Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join their team. As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting critical projects in the automotive body in white (BIW) sector. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Southfield, MI (Hybrid: Four Days in Office, One Day Remote)

What's the Job?

• Manage the overall completion of important and complex engineering tasks and projects.
• Prepare general specifications and support quality initiatives.
• Coordinate and execute all customer requirements, specifications, and requests.
• Conduct operator timing studies and create controls layout sheets.
• Support continuous improvement efforts across projects.

What's Needed?

• Light or heavy automotive body in white (BIW) engineering experience.
• Proficient in NX and AutoCAD software.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to follow structured processes and procedures.
• Excellent written and face-to-face communication skills.
