National Accounts is part of the Commercial Organization, a cross-functional team integral to maximizing refining output value for MPC while meeting marketing demands. National Accounts is a light product sales organization which establishes commercial relationships with large, nationwide fuel consumers. This role provides an opportunity to gain exposure to the entire MPC light products system through monthly forecasting and support of annual RFP analysis.

The successful candidate should have strong critical thinking and communication skills, a drive for results and a service-oriented approach.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements reporting for the National Accounts Team, consisting of various reporting responsibilities ranging from short-term (daily) to monthly and annual comparisons.
  • Assists marketing field members with ad-hoc analysis, forecasting, contract analysis, and financial model analysis. Supports the field with daily, weekly, and monthly allocation/analysis requests. Supports budget and other internal processes as needed.
  • Maintains and recommends improved procedures for handling sales forecasting, sales reporting, and other analytical data.
  • Understands industry trends, regulations, economic conditions, commercial and consumer needs, as well as current MPC marketing strategies and business opportunities.
  • Supports strategies to enhance commercial value. Maintains positive customer relationships and promptly addresses customer concerns.
  • Supports business process improvement ideas that create internal process efficiencies and/or reduce transactional or administrative costs for customers.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required or five (5) years of experience in lieu.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in Analytics, Pricing, Fuel Marketing Sales, Revenue and Profitability Management, or other related experience required
