Job Description
Drive the commercial performance and strategic positioning of the brand across the region by leading sales initiatives, cultivating high-value partnerships, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders. The role is responsible for delivering sustainable revenue growth, enhancing brand visibility, and positioning the company as a preferred partner within the regional hospitality landscape.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual regional sales strategy, aligned with global objectives and market dynamics
- Lead, mentor, and manage the regional sales team to ensure effective execution of sales initiatives and achievement of revenue targets
- Identify, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with key corporate, leisure, and trade partners across the region
- Drive new business acquisition through targeted prospecting, market research, and high-level client engagement
- Oversee the planning and execution of regional sales activities, including proprietary events (e.g. DS Sessions) and familiarisation trips
- Manage and optimise the P&L performance of all regional events and initiatives
- Represent the brand at major industry events, trade shows, and client engagements to enhance market presence and visibility
- Lead and support the corporate RFP and tender process, ensuring alignment with overall commercial strategy
- Collaborate closely with member hotels to support their sales efforts, provide market insights, and resolve commercial challenges
- Analyse market performance and provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership team (SLT)
- Maintain and continuously enhance a robust database of key accounts and business opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with global teams, regional offices, and partners to ensure alignment and maximise commercial impact
- Support the development and coaching of junior team members, interns, and trainees
Revenue Sources
- Drive revenue through regional sales activities, trade events, and partnerships
- Maximise room revenue production from the region through targeted account management and conversion strategies
- Develop and implement tactical promotions and partnerships to unlock new revenue streams
- Promote and monetise the company's products, services, and member solutions
- Identify new commercial opportunities to strengthen the brand's market position and contribution to overall revenue
Experience & Mindset
- Several years of experience in sales or owner relations in travel, hospitality or interior design sectors
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management or related fields
- Fluent and effectively bilingual in English and any Asian language (spoken and written)
- Strong market knowledge of Asian boutique and independent hotel sectors
- Analytical and administrative skills with attention for detail
- Professional customer service experience
- Proactive and quick-thinking in problem resolution
- Avid learner with exceptional interpersonal skills and creative mind
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
- Adaptable and able to work under pressure
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize work
- Proficiency in MS office applications and keynote (Experience with Salesforce and Tableau are beneficial)
