Senior Manager, Inventory Product
The Senior Manager, Inventory Product plays a critical role in supporting Marriott's reservation platform by applying product development expertise, hospitality best practices, and system governance to enable the sale of lodging and nonlodging products. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for the CRS, including the Room Setup Tool (RST), DTT Room Strategy, rates, pricing, inventory, non-room products, and property configuration, and provides guidance on product definition, system configuration, and corporate business rules. The Senior Manager is responsible for day-to-day management and future enhancements of the RST, supports the migration of room pools to inventory types within Amadeus CRS, and provides revenue management, reservation, project management, and technical expertise as needed. They also oversee business process review, training and job aid development, user acceptance testing, and support change management and communications.
Education and Experience
Required:
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
Preferred:
- 4+ years' experience in the hospitality industry
- 5 years' experience with Marriott's systems platforms, which includes: MARSHA, HPP, MarRFP, One Yield, PMS and Total Yield
- Prior experience evaluating business processes and successfully implementing medium to large-scale projects.
- Experience as a Product Systems owner in the lodging/hospitality industry experience or a related discipline preferred
Core Work Activities
- Develops inventory and product use cases supporting property configuration, reservations, group lifecycle, pricing/yielding, distribution, integrations, and system conversions
- Serves as subject matter expert for CRS functional requirements, business processes, impacted systems, and the Room Setup Tool and DTT Room Strategy framework
- Represents and balances the needs of Revenue Management, Reservations, Group Housing, Sales, and other key stakeholders
- Collaborates cross organizationally to align platform strategy and support business initiatives
- Identifies, prioritizes, and evaluates business needs, scenarios, and opportunities, recommending effective solutions
- Provides recommendations to improve reservation platform capabilities, processes, and programs
- Partners with Marriott Global Technology and third-party vendors on technical implementation approaches and timelines
- Develops, manages, and reports on complex, multigroup project plans, milestones, resources, budgets, and schedules
- Executes project plans and performance goals on time and within budget while supporting team objectives
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to support data driven decision making
- Oversees QA and user experience testing, including test case review, execution, and defect documentation
- Contributes to training content, job aids, and validation activities to ensure successful CRS rollout and adoption
- Prepares and delivers clear, persuasive communications, presentations, and regular reporting to leadership and stakeholders
- Maintains ongoing communication and coordination with the Reservation Platform team
- Demonstrates strong understanding of business priorities while supporting leadership defined plans and schedules
