Job Description
The Item Master Data Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the ongoing accuracy, integrity, and maintenance of data within the Material Master. This role provides support to the Item Master Data Lead Coordinator and collaborates closely with multiple business divisions to support the setup, modification, and maintenance of new and existing items. The incumbent manages incoming requests, updates SAP accordingly and monitors the Item Master Data mailbox to identify and prioritize time-sensitive and business-critical requests. This role requires close collaboration with team members, Information Systems, Product Divisions, and various levels of management to ensure data quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsabilities
- Assist with managing the Item Master Data mail box ensuring critical requests are prioritized promptly and accurately to produce data quality integrity.
- Works with the IMD Lead Coordinator on projects, phone requests, e-mail requests and various other requests required to support the divisions need for Material Master updates.
- Review and refine data files submitted to obtain a successful upload into Material Master. Review and analyze the various upload results, resolve errors, use problem solving skills to research and identify the cause and impact of the results. Communicate the results and issues to the requestor.
- Follow established guidelines for product set up, product discontinuation, data standardization and standard Item Master Data processes.
- Assist with creating training documentation and, as needed, train team members on the IMD processes to manage the Mailbox requests, inquiries, projects and other special requests.
- Identify and follow the approval process required to make divisional changes driving efficient data management processes.
- Assist with assigned system break and fix testing to resolve issues related to the Material Master.
- Back up team members covering certain, specific functions as required: IMD Coordinator, Project Coordinator and the Master Data Management Analyst in specific functional related tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of related (data management) work experience.
- Ability to extract, analyze and report on data as required.
- Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate across departments within the organization as well as work well with others Additional
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
- Experience in assessing and initiating actions independently.
- Experience in taking charge of a situation, team or project.
- Knowledge of FOXPRO, Share Point, Winshuttle.
- Experience with Item Master Data Processes.
- SAP knowledge.
The anticipated salary range for this position:
$21.19 - $31.79 Hourly
