Expert (m/w/d) Product Regulatory Affairs

To support the product management department, we are looking for an expert (m/w/d) product regulatory affairs at our company location in Bechhofen bei Ansbach.
Responsibilities
Multifaceted tasks that will challenge you by:
- Coordinating and managing our product-specific regulatory affairs (bottled units/cosmetic mass) by:
- Ensuring product legality according to the EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009/EC, implementing changes, and checking and updating product information files
- Checking product artwork for legality and commissioning and updating product safety assessments according to 1223/2009/EC
- Registering products with the US Food and Drug Administration, applying for free sales certificates and postils for the introduction into third countries, and notifying bottled units to the EUR (CPNP-Portal)
- Coordinating and managing all regulatory affairs regarding packaging and accessories by:
- Creating and evaluating conformity statements for packaging units according to PPWR 2025/40/EC and the General Product Safety Regulation
- Having test reports created and evaluated in collaboration with accredited laboratories
- Processing customer inquiries regarding product-specific regulatory affairs as well as packaging and accessories and supporting projects regarding the examination of regulatory frameworks
- Furthermore, you will take over the sub-project management of PPWR with follow-up of the time schedule, implementation of legal requirements, keep yourself up to date, and pass on your knowledge through training and consulting external and internal stakeholders.
- Finally, you will represent GEKA as a deputy contact person in the Forum Rezyklat, participate in overall meetings, and engage in working groups, e.g., regarding the creation of public position papers.
Qualifications

You have a degree as a Dipl.-Ing. (FH), Bachelor, Master or a comparable education
3-5 years of professional experience in the food industry, packaging industry (preferably plastic) or the cosmetics industry are required
Regulatory knowledge of both the EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009/EC including food and articles as well as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) 2025/40/EC can you present
You have knowledge of the relevant notification portals for cosmetic products (CPNP-Portal + FDA)
You have a structured, independent working style.
You also score with coordination, organizational, and communication talent
Very good German and English skills in speech and writing are essential
Good knowledge of the MS-Office area as well as SAP rounds off your profile
