Meta is looking for an analytical problem solver to join our Policy team as a Product Policy Associate Manager within our Commercial Product Policy team. The team's mission is to protect the space in which our product partners build technologies to bring people together around the world, through targeted policy support for key product priorities and initiatives. As a Product Policy Associate Manager, you will work closely with a number of other teams at Meta, including our Global Operations, Sales, Legal, Product, Communications, and Public Policy teams. You will be responsible for understanding both Facebook and Instagram's business priorities and helping our team craft and implement policies that best serve the company and the people who use our services in these markets. Successful candidates will have experience in policy and/or policy enforcement and will provide insights that will contribute to the shaping of our commercial policies for creator monetization, advertising, and commerce products. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve in all global markets. Given the demands of content-related escalations, the candidate will sometimes be expected to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends.
Help craft and implement commercial policies for all global markets
Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams such as Sales, Product, Public Policy, Business Partnerships and Development, Operations, Marketing, Communications and Legal
Develop and implement forward-thinking policies that enable the responsible development and deployment of cutting-edge GenAI technologies in our commercial products
Support high level internal stakeholders and tracking region specific insights to help drive policy solutions
Act as an escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues
Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders
Join the policy on-call roster to help field policy questions on high priority escalations, with an expectation to think critically about complex problems and exercise judgment under time pressure
Bachelor's degree in public policy, legal, political science or related field
5+ years of work experience in policy, enforcement, legal, government, public policy, marketing, or journalism, with an emphasis on products, technology, and/or media regulation
Experience working autonomously and cross-functionally to develop policies and apply analytical thinking to solve ambiguous, complex problems
8+ years of work experience in policy, enforcement, legal, government, public policy, marketing, or journalism, with an emphasis on products, technology, and/or media regulation
Experience in international Internet/social media content issues
Experience working at a technology company or with technology clients on commercial, commerce, or product policy
Experience with consensus-building
Experience with online advertising and/or content monetization
Experience with branded content or affiliate campaigns
Knowledge of Meta products and principles
Understanding of AI policy and tech issues, including key stakeholders, research initiatives, and relevant industry trends
