Director Of Product Management

My client is a long-established U.S. manufacturer in the industrial equipment sector is seeking a seasoned Director of Product Management to guide product strategy and accelerate innovation across a broad portfolio of advanced machinery solutions.

Lead and develop teams across Product Management, Product Consulting, Application Engineering, and Training, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Build and execute full Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategies to strengthen portfolio performance, competitiveness, and profitability, using 80/20 analysis to guide focus.

Drive New Product Development (NPD), including ideation, roadmap creation, prioritization, planning, and launch execution aligned with market demands and customer insights.

Develop effective go-to-market strategies covering product positioning, pricing, sales tools, marketing assets, and rollout plans.

Oversee R&D project prioritization and timeline development in partnership with engineering leadership.

Use 80/20 principles to optimize customer segmentation, portfolio mix, and internal resource allocation.

Partner closely with Engineering, R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align product initiatives with company goals.

Evaluate market data, competitive trends, and customer feedback to drive strategic decisions and uncover new opportunities.

Define and monitor KPIs for product performance and lead continuous improvement efforts across the portfolio.

Experience managing R&D funnels, leveraging stage-gate processes, and optimizing project portfolios.

Proficiency applying 80/20 principles to product, customer, and resource prioritization.

Proven leadership capabilities overseeing cross-functional technical and commercial teams.

Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.

Analytical mindset with experience using data-driven tools for decision-making.

Willingness to travel to customer sites, industry events, and company locations as needed.

$170-$190 on base salary

Bonus potential based on individual and company performance
