Dig into project plans, specs, and requirements to fully understand the scope
Support and collaborate with precon managers to keep projects aligned
Figure out labor and equipment needs and what it's really going to cost
Double-check takeoffs and material pricing for accuracy
Spot risks in bid docs early so we're ahead of the curve
Get a good handle on project logistics and schedule impacts
Build out bid packages and break down competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing
Review numbers and quotes with the PM team to make sure everyone's on the same page
Put together estimates at all stages - from early concept to full construction docs
Jump in on post-bid buyouts when needed
Take the lead on RFP responses when they come through
And pitch in on other tasks as they come up - this is a team-first role

The successful applicant will have:
5-7 years of experience in estimating or preconstruction within commercial or industrial construction
Proven experience preparing conceptual budgets through GMP
Exposure to ground‑up commercial, industrial, or tilt‑wall construction preferred
Proficiency with estimating and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across preconstruction and operations teams
A proactive, accountable mindset suited to a growing, entrepreneurial environment
