Our client is a family owned, global industry leader in the precision metal products space. They utilize numerous unique alloys to meet their customer and client needs ranging from foil, wire, strip, and ribbon materials used in critical applications for numerous industries.
Job Description
Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management
- Define, develop, and manage the full lifecycle of precision metal products (strip, wire, foil, PV ribbon) from concept through end-of-life.
- Align product roadmaps with evolving customer requirements and industry trends in aerospace, medical, solar, and other high-performance markets.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain to deliver highly customized product solutions.
- Oversee new product introductions (NPIs), ensuring smooth scale-up from prototype to production, and coordinate technical troubleshooting or redesigns.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Act as the primary technical and commercial liaison for strategic customers.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to uncover growth opportunities and strengthen competitive positioning.
Technical Product Expertise
- Leverage deep knowledge of material properties, alloy behaviors, and processing techniques to recommend solutions for performance-critical applications.
- Translate complex customer specifications into manufacturable and cost-effective requirements.
Sales Enablement & Business Growth
- Equip sales teams with product training, technical documentation, and application insights.
- Contribute to quoting, pricing strategies, and customer-facing presentations to win new business.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and product/process innovation.
- Lead or support R&D initiatives involving advanced metallurgy, coatings, or specialty forming technologies.

The Successful Applicant
- 22+ years of Project Management experience (required)
- Precision metals industry experience highly preferred
- Must be able to travel onsite to North Haven, CT as needed
- Strong ability to engage in customer discovery to identify and understand industry challenges
- Experience assisting in backlog management and creating roadmaps to completion with leadership
- Collaborative mindset, open to feedback, suggestions, and challenges
- Ability to work closely with design teams to develop solutions for identified problems
- Skilled in managing go-to-market activities during new product/feature launches
