Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant with strong month-end close, ERP system, and technical accounting skills. In this role, you'll own key areas of the month-end close process, support financial reporting and analysis, and help drive efficiency across their accounting operations. You'll work closely with the Director of Finance, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness in the financial practices.

Our client is a global brand focused on skin care and grooming products. They've grown significantly across DTC, Amazon, and retail channels. They are now ready to go to the next level in their growth trajectory, and are looking for the right Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in their Chicago HQ.

Job Description

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Month end close including journal entries, preparing balance sheet and P&L statements, fixed assets, AP, reconciliations, accruals
• Preparing & reviewing monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports
• Record/categorize financial transactions in the general ledger, including revenue recognition
• AP/vendor management - overseeing this process and working with vendors on discrepancies/communication
• Sales tax
• Partner with Director of Finance on cost accounting/inventory management and collaborating with operations team
• Support in the audit

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of progressive, technical accounting experience
• Industry experience in public accounting, manufacturing, distribution, retail, CPG, ecommerce, OR related industry!
• ERP System experience
