Job Description
- Prepare transmission line design packages for overhead and underground utility projects
- Support transmission line projects ranging from 69kV to 765kV
- Develop:
- Plan & profile drawings
- Structure assemblies
- Foundation details
- Conductor and hardware layouts
- Utilize PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related utility design software
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and utility clients throughout project execution
- Assist with route selection, structure spotting, and line optimization
- Ensure designs comply with:
- NESC
- Utility standards
- Client specifications
- Industry safety requirements
- Support field investigations, constructability reviews, and design revisions as needed
- Maintain project schedules and support multiple active projects simultaneously

The Successful Applicant
- Strong technical knowledge of transmission line design and associated software tools.
- Educational background in engineering, drafting, or a related field.
- Experience in the energy and natural resources industry is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the industry.
