Our team, the Web Experiences & Services Team (WEST) is responsible for maintaining a modern, efficient, scalable, and cost-effective platform underlying Office web applications.

As a Product Manager II within the WEST team, you will lead strategic initiatives that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning to improve platform reliability, efficiency, and compliance across Office Online services. This role demands deep technical expertise in service architecture and health monitoring, requiring you to proactively drive improvements in service efficiency—such as cost optimization, reliability, and availability. You will work closely with engineering teams to strengthen the Office platform’s resilience and operational effectiveness, while also shaping the infrastructure and cloud integration roadmap to deliver robust, high-performing solutions.

Success in this role requires a solid technical background, particularly in service architecture, platform engineering, and web services - to facilitate effective collaboration across engineering teams within the organization. The ideal candidate exhibits a strong commitment to achieving business objectives and maintains a customer/partner-oriented mindset. They possess the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to engineering teams, partners, and stakeholders, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of DevOps workflows. Proficiency in build/validation systems and DevOps methodologies is essential for attaining operational excellence.
