Our team plays a key role in the Microsoft 365 developer story. We are responsible for the platform that allows developers to integrate with and extend Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook across Windows, Mac, Office Online, iOS, and Android. We also partner closely with teams across Microsoft 365 to deliver a cohesive platform story for all Office developers.
We do this by fostering one of the world’s largest developer ecosystems around our Win32 apps, and building a modern extensibility model that’s built on web technologies and runs across platforms. Building a great platform isn’t just about APIs – we also think deeply about developer and user experience and ensure that from documentation to tooling to in-product UX to an in-app marketplace, we have everything our ecosystem needs to build powerful, deeply integrated solutions that enable customers to use our apps more efficiently and effectively.
