Director, Product Management β Platform & Integrations
We are looking for a Director of Product Management to own the integration and platform experience across Mimecast's product portfolio. This leader will be responsible for driving both internal integrations between Mimecast's product suites (Email Security, Human Risk Management, Incydr Insider Risk, and Aware) and external integrations with third-party ecosystems (SIEM/SOAR, Identity, EDR/XDR, ITSM, and collaboration platforms).
Equally critical, this role will champion a common look-and-feel initiative to unify the user experience across all Mimecast products β establishing design patterns, shared UI components, and a coherent platform identity that makes Mimecast feel like one product, not four.
This is a platform product management role... meaning you'll think horizontally across all suites, not vertically within one. You'll be the connective tissue that turns our multi-product portfolio into a unified platform.
Business Justification
- Mimecast's portfolio has grown through acquisition (Code42/Incydr, Aware, Elevate) and organic development β creating integration gaps and UX inconsistencies that impact customer retention and expansion
- Customers increasingly demand API-first, ecosystem-native security solutions that integrate seamlessly into their existing toolchains
- A unified platform experience is a key differentiator against point-solution competitors and critical to the "No Reason to Leave" customer retention strategy
- This role has no current owner β integration and platform UX responsibilities are fragmented across individual suite PMs, resulting in inconsistent experiences and duplicated effort
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Integration Strategy
- Define and drive the integration roadmap across Mimecast's product suites (Email Security, HRM, Incydr, Aware)
- Identify and prioritize cross-suite integration use cases that unlock customer value (e.g., unified risk scoring, shared threat intelligence, correlated alert workflows)
- Partner with suite-level PMs and engineering leads to ensure integration points are well-defined, API-first, and production-grade
- Own the internal platform services layer β shared authentication, common data models, event buses, and cross-product navigation
- External Integration & Ecosystem
- Own the external integration strategy and partner ecosystem roadmap (SIEM/SOAR, Identity/IAM, EDR/XDR, ITSM, collaboration tools)
- Define and govern the Mimecast Integration Framework β APIs, webhooks, connectors, and marketplace standards
- Partner with Business Development and Alliances to prioritize technology partnerships and co-built integrations
- Drive developer experience (DX) for third-party builders β documentation, SDKs, sandbox environments, and developer portal
- Common Look & Feel / Platform UX
- Champion and own the "One Mimecast" UX vision β a unified design language, navigation model, and interaction pattern across all products
- Partner with UX/Design leadership to establish and enforce a shared component library and design system
- Define the platform shell experience β common navigation, cross-product search, unified notifications, role-based dashboards
- Drive convergence of disparate UIs into a cohesive platform experience over a phased roadmap
- Establish UX consistency metrics and customer satisfaction benchmarks across products
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the primary PM liaison for platform-level decisions β coordinating across suite PMs, engineering, design, and architecture
- Build and present the integration and platform strategy to executive leadership, Customer Advisory Boards, and at industry events
- Partner with Customer Success and Support to identify integration pain points and prioritize fixes
- Contribute to the "No Reason to Leave" D&C framework through improved cross-product stickiness and reduced friction
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in platform, integration, or developer-facing product roles
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-product or horizontal platform PM functions at a multi-product software company
- Deep understanding of API design, integration architecture patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven), and developer ecosystems
- Track record of driving UX consistency and design system adoption across multiple product lines
- Experience working in cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, or IT infrastructure markets
- Strong executive communication skills β ability to present to C-suite, board, and customer audiences
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority across engineering, design, and business teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cybersecurity product portfolios (email security, insider risk, DLP, or SIEM/SOAR)
- Background in platform engineering, developer relations, or API product management
- Familiarity with design systems (Figma, Storybook) and frontend component library governance
- Experience with M&A integration β merging acquired product UIs and architectures into a unified platform
- Prior experience at companies that have navigated multi-product to platform transitions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, ServiceNow, Salesforce)
