Columbia Threadneedle Investments is pleased to offer a compelling opportunity for a research analyst to join the Fixed Income Research team. The Associate Investment Research Analyst will bring strong data, analytical, and interpersonal skills to drive strong risk-adjusted returns in one of the largest financial markets in the world.
The Associate Investment Research Analyst is an entry-level position on the Structured Products Research team, designed for individuals seeking deep exposure to structured credit markets within a rigorous, research-driven investment platform. The analyst will work closely with senior analysts, portfolio managers, and traders to contribute directly to the investment process by conducting in-depth issuer, collateral, cash flow, and sector research across assigned structured product sectors.
The Structured Products team manages over $69 billion of assets across Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), and Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) sectors, investing across the capital structure and on behalf of multiple client types. This role is well-suited for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a willingness to embrace a research-intensive environment focused on delivering superior investment outcomes.

Base Pay Salary: The estimated base salary for this role is $105,000- $125,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
