About the Role

Boston Scientific's Cardiology Division is seeking a Director of Marketing Data & Analytics to lead the development and execution of marketing data strategies and analytics across the cardiology business units. This leader will proactively deliver forward-looking insights from provider and consumer marketing, influencing executive decision-making to shape strategy. The team they lead will drive scalable analytics and AI products, strengthen data governance, and deliver actionable insights to drive commercial marketing programs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the cardiology marketing data and analytics strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Serve as a senior advisor: To cardiology franchise leaders, marketing activation, and digital enablement teams on data-driven growth opportunities.
  • Represent marketing data: And analytics at the enterprise level, influencing senior leadership on priorities and outcomes.
  • Build partnerships: With Product Marketing, IT, Clinical, HEMA, and Compliance to maximize impact.
  • Anticipate trends: In healthcare data and AI.
  • Guide evolution: The organization's evolution toward scalable, future-ready capabilities.
  • Organizational Leadership & Operational Excellence: Lead a multidisciplinary team, setting vision, building capabilities, and ensuring analyst excellence.
  • Ensure resources: Are prioritized toward high-value data and analytics use cases with measurable business outcomes.
  • Execute initiatives: With urgency, accountability, and measurable impact.
  • Optimize: Resources and processes to deliver consistent, timely, and scalable results.
  • Create a culture: Of inclusion, accountability, and innovation that attracts and develops top talent for an AI-first world.
  • Data & AI Foundations: Oversee expansion of the cardiology marketing data platform to enable pan-cardiology impact.
  • Ensure governance: Documentation, and data democratization that support self-service insights and cross-functional access.
  • Establish frameworks: That strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
  • Champion adoption: Of AI/ML-driven marketing to enhance personalization, targeting, and resource optimization.
  • Drive alignment: And investment in foundational data assets, ensuring scalability and compliance in regulated environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM, Business, Finance or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in data and analytics, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives with commercial stakeholders in healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams, including hiring, development, and performance management.
  • Proven success delivering enterprise-scale analytics and data products.
  • Experience guiding the development of AI/ML use cases in commercial or healthcare settings.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology ecosystems and their integration with analytics platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance, privacy, SOX and HIPPA standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the Medical Device or related healthcare industries.
  • Experience directing initiatives that leverage healthcare data (e.g., claims, EHR, prescription drug data) to generate insights.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with data visualization in Tableau or similar tools.
  • Experience using SQL and Python for data and analytics use cases.
  • Experience using LLMs for structured data use cases.

Work Mode: At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office in Maple Grove, Minnesota at least three days per week.
