Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Instructional and Media Design - 40% Provide instructional and media design services to the University through the development and revision of courses and media. Provide project management services for the design work in assigned courses. Consult with faculty on course design, directly develop courses, and develop/maintain high-quality assessment rubrics.
Learning Experience Design - 35% Collaborate with instructional designers, media designers, and technologists to plan strategic, high-impact learning experiences. Create engaging, interactive, and media-rich learning experiences that integrate various instructional methods and tools to create immersive learning experiences that support diverse learning styles.
Technology and Accessibility - 15% Monitor and share emerging trends, tools, best practices, and innovations in learning experience design. Audit and adjust design practices to ensure alignment with accessibility standards, creating equitable learning opportunities for all students. Evaluate, recommend, and advocate for the adoption of interactive instructional tools and technologies. Support the implementation of new interactive instructional tools by creating and testing prototypes, training team members, and sharing best practices with faculty.
Faculty Education and Training - 10% Partner with faculty and subject matter experts to strengthen course and media design strategies. Deliver consultations and conduct workshops to build faculty expertise in instructional design and technology. Create user-friendly guides, resources, and media that support faculty development and effective teaching practices.

Required Skills
Working knowledge of and experienced in course or curriculum design. Working knowledge of and experience with education software and learning management system(s) with the ability to learn and master new systems and technologies. Self-motivated, collaborative, team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptable, able to learn and navigate quickly when faced with new, unfamiliar, or ambiguous situations. Innovative thinking, action oriented. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, superior communication, design, and writing skills. Creative, organized and detail oriented. Ability to work on a team and individually. Experience 3+ years of related experience. Education Bachelor's degree.
